We currently have an opportunity at our Amherst, New York facility to join IIMAK as a Fluid Ink Associate.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the on-shift daily flow of producing non-standard inks used in a variety of applications.  Involved in the set up, operation and continuous flow of ink products and assist in helping to develop standard operating procedures as necessary.  The daily assignment is based upon priorities determined by Ink Planning and the Ink Systems Supervisor.  Works closely with Support Engineering and Manufacturing in the production and transition of inks from lab to manufacturing.  Introduces new processes & raw materials to Inkmakers and Ink Support Specialists.  Work hands-on to identify improvements on Ink Processes and make production inks to meet customer demands.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of ink processing and packaging experience
  • Ability to be a self-starter a must when working with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Mechanical aptitude for general maintenance and set-up of inkmaking and filling equipment required
  • Ability to understand specifications, identify products and follow work instructions and recipes
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Possess positive, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various departmental personnel including R&D, maintenance, engineering, planning, as well as possible customer tours
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid PC skills to include MS Office and internal programs
  • Associates Degree preferred
