Under the general direction of the Production Manager, the Production Planner/Controller will play a key role in all aspects of production planning, scheduling, and execution of the plan, from raw materials to finished goods to meet internal plan and customer delivery commitments.   Ensures good cross functional communication and statusing of production plan, measurement to plan, changes in plan, and risks to plan. Collaborates closely with Purchasing and Material Control to anticipate and mitigate risks to production plan objectives and goals. Works with Order Fulfilment to communicate Finished Goods inventory and availability from external team field inquiries, and estimated shipment schedules.

Responsibilities: (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)

• Promote and nurtures company culture, policies, and guidelines.
• Manage production planning process to meet company goals, objectives, and customer commitments.
• Generate and maintain actionable plans for stockroom, purchasing, and production.
• Analyze supply chain in order to address contingencies and risk scenarios
• Produce reports to indicate performance in supply chain
• Serve as point person between Sales, Purchasing, Material Control, Production, Order Fulfilment, and Shipping and Receiving.
• Ensure the timely delivery of materials to production floor to support a lean production environment while meeting production schedule goals.
• Maintain progress to scheduled goals and reports status updates to cross functional stake holders.
• Collaborate with Material Control on MO creation and release to meet goals and objectives of production schedule.
• Daily review of production plan to identify and report potential risks to Manager.
• Work cross functionally with Receiving and Procurement to ensure materials availability for successful execution of production plan.
• Ensure compliance with material management processes and procedures
• Other tasks and duties as necessary

• Computer skills, advanced functional understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project or similar.
• Experience with ERP / MRP systems and production planning process and tools.
• Master scheduling experience in a dynamic multi- product environment.
• Knowledge of, and active participant in, Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in production processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 or similar (desired)
• APICS certification or equivalent (desired).
• Strong solution development to rescheduling and product type changes in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications: (Minimum Education & Years Experience required)

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business or similar OR High School graduate with equivalent relevant work experience
• Minimum 2-3 years with degree or 5-7 years of experience

Working Conditions: (The environment in which the job is performed, outside a normal office environment)

• Normal office environment with long periods working at a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting required.
• Must be able to move/transport robots, weighing over 200 lbs. with wheeled assistance and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
