DESCRIPTION

The ACCOUNTANT will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

This position is not eligible for relocation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Essential Functions

• Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to preparing account reconciliations
• Compile and analyze financial information to help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Meet all financial reporting deadlines
• Leverage on accounting systems to automate activities where practical
• Assist with financial audits
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance

Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience. Excellent analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles needed. Strong Excel skill and familiarity with accounting systems required (Oracle a plus).

Essential Physical and Mental Requirements

Physical Requirements: e.g.,

• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.

• Extensive use of computer keyboard, mouse and monitor.

• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Mental Requirements:

• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to maintain confidentiality.

Travel:

• Ability to travel by car, train or air occasionally; travel 2-5 days/year.
