Candidate: The Graphic Designer/Animator is responsible for creating graphics, animations and creative elements for inclusion within our Product/UX Design and in Product Marketing.  They need to ensure consistency of brand style and be able to collaborate with Product Marketing and Marketing team members. You’ll be the lead designer and develop animations, in-product pop-ups, email creative, and help creatively enhance our user experience in our dashboard.  We are looking for a candidate with conceptual, design and animation skills. You should be passionate about developing creative elements that are delightful and drive results. Specific responsibilities:

• Help drive and execute design efforts for the Product & Email Marketing team, while aligning creative execution with Marketing and brand strategy.
• Effectively communicate creative and brand direction for Email Marketing, In-Product Marketing (i.e. Referral campaigns, pop-up messages and more).
• Partner with our Product Marketing, Product Design, Mobile and Personal Capital Cash teams and collaborate with our Creative Director, Sr. Art Director, Web Director and Content Managers to establish the creative strategy and execute work.
• Manage multiple projects; from design, idea development to execution and implementation.
• Ensure high-level projects are developed in the most cost-effective and creative way possible.
• Promote disruptive ideas, while understanding Product technical considerations in web and mobile environments.
• Elevate our creative output and promote positive internal awareness of design trends, brand standards, and processes, through a design culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Recommend, build and manage strong relationships with external vendors, freelancers, and agencies.
• Help identify new potential hires and freelance talent as our company grows.

Qualifications for success:

• Agency or in-house experience preferred
• Proficiency with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional capability with typography, layout, animation, email graphics and prototyping
• Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, graphic design, or similar discipline
• 5 + years working as a Graphic Designer with experience in UX
• Experience with email and digital production, graphics and animations
• Build efficient and reusable design that works across all device sizes
• Identify and communicate best practices for design within Product/UX experiences
• Participate in design reviews
• Demonstrable experience building world-class, consumer-facing design
• Experience creating images and creative for Emails
• Knowledge of animation software such Adobe Animate
• Experience working with Invision DSM is a bonus
• Experience creating designs or page layouts preferred
