Job summary A growing, heavy fabrication shop in Saginaw is looking to add a skilled Senior Welder with Aerospace and Defense experience to its team. The position is full-time, with over-time potential as the workload demands. Second shift positions will come with a shift premium. Pay is competitive and based on experience and capabilities. Responsibilities/daily tasks Read technical drawings to prepare for and plan welds Fabricate components made from a variety of metals by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces Inspect and test weld results Operate a forklift and overhead crane Document welds for projects as necessary Maintain safe work environment by following safety processes and procedures Inspect and ensure equipment functionality and safety before use Record production in ERP Qualifications Aerospace and Defense background Must be able to lift 50 pounds Pass AWS tests performed by employer Must be able to effectively read blueprints/drawings Preferred Skil
