Job Description Job Description General Summary: Installs and repairs telecommunications cable, including fiber optics. Installs, maintains and services customer premises equipment. Typically installs drop wires, optical network devices and performs initial wiring or rewiring for new subscriber systems. Troubleshoots from the tap location back to customer premise equipment. Works to maintain integrity of the coax and fiber drop plant in the home. Works on traditional telephone twisted pair cable. Uses test instruments to validate service levels.
