Description JOB SUMMARY: Ensure safe preparation/dispensing and cost-effective (inventory control) management of the entire medication use process. Oversee daily workflow; supervise pharmacy technicians in their assigned clinic. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Review and assess medication orders. Compound and dispense medications, antineoplastic drugs, and intravenous admixtures. Ensure medications are prepared, labeled, and dispensed accurately and in a timely manner. Understand USP 797, USP 800, and proper aseptic technique. Ensure all doses of intravenous admixtures prepared by Pharmacy Technicians are checked. Manage purchases/returns/recalls and inventory of all pharmaceutical agents and medical supplies. Work closely with vendors to ensure receipt of the most cost-effective products.
