Job Type Part-time Description The Weather Forecaster/Observer performs meteorological weather watch consisting of taking, evaluating, recording, and disseminating surface weather observations (METAR/SPECI); issuing Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts; writing DD-175-1s, issuing and disseminating weather watches, warnings, and advisories; and responding to PMSV; and dissemination of PIREPs. This position is Part-Time, and hours will fluctuate. Hourly pay begins $35.52 Forecaster rate and $31.53 per hour Observer rate plus $5.46 per hour for up to 40 hours per week Health & Welfare. The candidate will be paid at the observer rate during the certification process and when working observer-only shifts. Night and Sunday differential is compounded to base pay.
