JOB DESCRIPTION Duties: Work involves the responsibility for the care of all taxa and the maintenance of sanitary conditions of buildings, grounds and enclosures. Incumbent checks diets and prepared foods prior to distributing them to the animals. Cleans and disinfects buildings, cages and other facilities housing animals; keep drains free, reports needed repairs to supervisor. Report observations on the animals to supervisors and deal with the public as public relations agents while also protecting the public and the animal collections.
