As School Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development of a school on the Wirral. You will be a key member of the team working closely with the Head of Finance to drive efficiency's, acquisitions and growth across the wider organisation.

Description
Duties and tasks of the School Accountant:
Preparing month end management accounts, preparing reports, budgets, variance analysis and financial statement and P&L
Year end accounts production and liaising with external auditors
Presenting MI and company financials to Directors
Operational support and acting as the go-to person for effective communication between the Directors and the wider team
To assist in preparing long-term strategic budget planning information
Attending budget holder meetings, presenting figures and discussing variance analysis
Profile
To be successful as the School Accountant you will have:
A relevant accountancy or business qualification
Worked within the education sector
Currently operating at Accountant level and worked closely with Directors and Senior Leadership Teams
Experience in managing budgets
Monitoring funding and production of financial reports including monthly management accounts and year end audits
Ability to analyse financial issues and interpret complex information and offer sound and professional advice
Commercial awareness and ability to achieve value for money
Able to work to tight deadlines and communicate company needs to the wider business and stakeholders
