Role: Software Controls Systems Engineer

Location: Oundle, Peterborough

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Salary range from : £45,000 (experience dependent)

Eltek Systems are looking for Senior Software Controls Systems Engineer to join our expending team at our Oundle office, near Peterborough.

About The Role

You will design, develop and implement control software for automaton systems for our clients in the Food and Bervage industry.

Writing and maintaining code for PLCs, HMI's and SCADA systems, being involved in the full life cycle for our key customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Actively participates in the whole life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.
• Foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Produce design and test documentation.
• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Perform testing with customers.
• Carry out on-site commissioning.
• Compile training manuals and run customer training sessions.
  
  

The Person

• Intermediate-level experience with Rockwell, Siemens or other major brands of PLC and SCADA/HMI platforms, with an appetite to learn new technologies.
• Experience writing software and working with customers delivery projects.
• Understanding of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks (EthernetIP, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet) preferred, but not essential.
• Experience working in an engineering environment.
