The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organized Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for accuracy to play a key role in our day-to-day financial operations.

In this role, you'll manage daily multicurrency AP invoice processing, including freight, ensuring timely approval and coding. You'll maintain the logistics worksheet for accrual tracking and collaborate with suppliers, the supply chain, and credit control to resolve queries and ensure smooth processing.

Your responsibilities include making timely vendor payments, recording AR cash for the UK and Ireland, processing customer refunds, and managing AR control books. You’ll also clear intercompany balances, handle daily DTC bank statements, and support month-end activities with journal entries and reconciliations.

This role may suit a recent graduate or someone with prior experience in a similar role.

  • Ideally previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR processes, multicurrency transactions, and month-end procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment (preferred)
  • Strong educational focus in Maths
