Role Description
The purpose of this role is to contribute towards delivering a high performing central tax function for the Allianz UK Group. This involves ensuring that all tax compliance matters, including corporate, indirect and employment taxes, are sufficiently maintained, fulfilling all tax reporting requirements of Allianz SE and assisting with tax advisory and specific projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares, submits and obtains agreement (by HMRC) of all relevant corporate, indirect tax and employment tax returns and payments required
- Maintains compliance records and documentation to ensure that all the required tax fillings and payments are made by statutory deadlines
- Fulfils all tax reporting requirements of Allianz SE
- Maintains tax accounts and balances for the Allianz Insurance UK Group
- Provides support in respect of tax advisory matters or specific tax projects
- Keeps up-to-date with tax technical matters and communicates relevant tax matters to the business as required
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, advisors and tax authorities
Skills & Experience
- Fully Qualified ATT/ACA/CTA Preferred
- Education – A-level preferred
- IT Literate including excellent Word and Excel Skills
- Experience of tax specialist software such as OneSource or Alphatax
- Experience of accounting systems such as SAP
- The ability to interpret and clearly explain tax technical issues
- The ability to conduct and accurately interpret research on tax technical matters
- Highly organised and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
