An opportunity to develop your skills within the purchasing department of Automint in Huddersfield. You will gain an understanding of the organisation and how the teams work together. You will learn about the key role in the purchasing teamplay in meeting the companies overall targets.
Typical day-to-day duties:
Checking purchase orders against supplier order confirmation - ensure the items and prices match
Create new import quotes, from which a booking in sheet will be formed
Create, check and update purchase orders
Communicate with suppliers by email and phone (imports & lead times); Forwarders by email and phone (shipping queries/confirmation); Internal mainly updating between sales & accounts

You will work towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship and attend National Business College for day release one day per fortnight.
The successful candidate will then progress to Business Admin Level 3 or Customer Service Specialist Level 3.
