Financial Accountant, Hospitality, Min 30 hrs/wk, Broadway/Remote, Up to £55k FTE* (DoE)
We're looking for an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant for this established hospitality business. They are a friendly and supportive team, offer lots of flexibility and are situated in a stunning rural location.
The Company
Our client is a stunning 400-acre countryside estate including three multi-award winning boutique hotels. They are now seeking a qualified financial accountant in this newly created role. They are looking for someone to bring strong technical expertise to the team.
The Role
The Financial Accountant will report to the CFO,but also work closely with the Finance and Commercial Manager. The purpose of the role is provide delivery of high quality, accurate and timely financial information, and be key to the internal and external reporting processes whilst supporting and working effectively with the team. There will be aspects of this role that are hands-on as they seek to support key roles, such as payroll and compliance reporting
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly consolidated reports to comply with group reporting format and timetable
Compile both monthly and quarterly board reports for presentation to senior executives and board members
Production of year-end statutory accounts and the annual corporation tax computations
In conjunction with the Finance and Commercial Manager liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit of year end accounts
Manage compliance with group treasury and management of cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
Co-ordinate the cashflow projections based on the latest internal forecasts
Consolidate annual budgets with particular focuson balance sheet and working capital requirements
Work with the CFO and Finance and Commercial Manager to maintain and improve all financial control matters and look at developing current systems to optimise the financial processes
Support on ad-hoc matters as required.
The Candidate
ACCA / ACA Qualified
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, accounting and consolidation systems)
Able to communicate confidently and effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative but to also be flexible in supporting the team.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Enthusiastic, positive and proactive with a 'can do' attitude.
Salary And Benefits
£50-55k FTE* (pro-rated down for part-time hours). Dependent on Experience.
Min 30 hours per week up to full-time (40 hours). These hours may be worked as 4 full days or spread across 5 days. Standard office hours are 9am-5.30pm with 30 minute lunch, however, as this is a hospitality setting, the client is flexible and is open to individuals working a more flexible working pattern, such as starting earlier (e.g. as early as 8am in order to finish earlier).
Open to hybrid working, ideally you will be present at least once per week but open to discussion for the right candidate. It will be a requirement to spend more time in the office in the first few weeks to become established in the role.
30 days holiday (this includes Bank Holidays) po-rata. This rises to 35 days after 5 years service.
