Reaching new audiences and improving journalists’ ability to tell good stories quickly and effectively are our key objectives. The News Labs editorial team needs individuals with a range of skills to help us deliver those objectives by turning ideas into innovations.

We are looking for a journalist to help us explore different opportunities, from integrating audience insights into a content management system to helping build relationships between the audience and BBC correspondents through participation on the BBC’s Live pages, all while making BBC News content more accessible to a wider range of audiences.

The successful candidate will flourish working as part of a multi-skilled team to provide editorial and audience insight and project support. You will enjoy building productive working relationships with a wide range of innovative individuals and organisations inside and outside the BBC and be comfortable adjusting your style to successfully work alongside them.

About the BBC

The BBC is committed to redeploying employees seeking suitable alternative employment within the BBC for different reasons and they will be given priority consideration ahead of other applicants. Diversity matters at the BBC. We have a working environment where we value and respect every individual's unique contribution, enabling all of our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential.

We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of the BBC – whether that’s to contribute to our programming or our wide range of non-production roles. The more diverse our workforce, the better able we are to respond to and reflect our audiences in all their diversity.

We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from individuals, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion and/or belief.
