JOB PURPOSE As a Finance Analyst at Burberry, you’ll be assisting our EMEIA (Europe, Middle East & India) region with commercial finance activities, predominately within our Wholesale, Outlet & Market activities. Your role will play a key part in driving performance in these areas, offering a varied and interesting view of our business with tasks sitting in Commercial Support, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting and Month End activities.
This Finance Analyst role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and is a hybrid role working 3 days per week from our Horseferry House, London office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working alongside the Senior Finance Analyst & Senior Finance Manager to deliver operational budgets, as well as reviewing and forecasting for key Opex lines, including system loads, reconciliations and checks.
- Producing and distribution key weekly performance reports for our Wholesale & Outlet businesses
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of cashflow forecasting, capex appraisals, month end performance packs and Group templates
- Partnering with the internal Accounting teams to ensure monthly actuals are timely and accurate, including associated variance analysis and commentary
- Assisting in Half year and Year end close process with the wider Finance teams
- Communicating with and representing the EMEIA region for any finance queries and analysis needed
- Sharing ideas and contributing to profitability initiatives in the region
- Supporting scenario analysis and forecasting, understanding of key financial drivers across business
- Driving continuous process improvements, promoting best in class reporting, meaningful analysis and business insight
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience in management reporting and financial analysis (including CAPEX and Margin) preferably within a large commercial/corporate environment
- Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly understand and interpret complex information
- Strong Excel skills with experience of building and working with complex models and large data sets
- Ability to build strong relationships, both with the wider Finance team globally and throughout the business
- Attention to detail, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Fluent in English (verbal & written) essential
