Butler Rose are excited to be working alongside a family-owned firm with over 40 years of success, based in Preston. Their high-quality services and esteemed reputation have led to significant growth, and they're now looking for an experienced accountant to join their friendly, vibrant team.

The firm rarely recruit for new members of staff, as they have a very high staff retention rate - which is a great reflection of how the firm treat their employees.

Duties

• You'll be managing a portfolio of clients, handling bookkeeping, accounts preparation, VAT returns, and liaising with clients.
• Your duties will include preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, along with basic personal and corporate tax computations.
• You'll report directly to the Managing Partner and play an important part in supporting the smooth running of the office.
  
  

About You

• Substantial experience in an accountancy practice is essential, with proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, and Sage.
• Experience with CIS would be beneficial.
• Ideally someone Qualified, QBE or stopped studying. At this time, the firm are unable to support any further studies for their employees.
• Personable with strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  
  

What We Offer

• Annual discretionary Christmas bonus.
• Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
• Working hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-4pm on Fridays.
• 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays and an extra 3-5.5 days for the post-Christmas break.
• Regular social outings, including team days at the races or Escape Rooms, and festive celebrations.
• Office-based role in Preston, with free on-site parking.
