We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Digital and Transformation team. Over the next few years, we are committed to a comprehensive upgrade of our applications and business processes. As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of this transformative period. You will lead key projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Demonstrate that projects are delivered in a planned and controlled way, ensuring that internal delivery methods are adhered to, including the production of standard project documentation in line with PMO standards and governance.
- Meet with project sponsors and stakeholders to identify project scope, delivery timelines and costs, translating these into effective and risk-controlled projects.
- Work closely with the PMO, Head of Delivery and relevant stakeholders to manage project risks, critical resources, timescales and budgets, ensuring any project changes are managed appropriately.
- Ensure project risks are fully understood in terms of the probability and impact and that there are clear and approved mitigation plans in place.
- Work with resources from a range of teams from across the CHP directorates to influence and collaborate with those resources as required to deliver projects effectively.
What We Are Looking For
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills evidenced through managing projects on time, within scope and within budget.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects within a controlled environment using a defined governance structure.
- Demonstrable experience of managing projects that deliver technical and business benefits.
- A proactive, methodical and analytical approach to problem solving, with good attention to detail.

Interview process
The interview process will be two-stage. The first round will be held on Wednesday 28 August over Microsoft Teams. Selected candidates will then progress to a second stage interview which will take place on Friday 30 August, in person at our offices in Chelmsford.
