CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) : trainee Parts/Service Advisor at our centre in Portbury Dock (near the Gordano services junction M5)

The successful candidate will be working in an office with a friendly team, responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service in our parts & service business. Most customers are long-term repeat customers, so the ability to develop strong working relationships is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls and enquiries from customers.
  • Provide guidance to customers, developing long-term relationships.
  • Process parts orders, service invoicing, and arrange deliveries.
  • Work well with other team members.

This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

We are currently seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team in the automotive industry. The Parts Advisor will be responsible for assisting customers with their parts needs, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient parts inventory management.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering advice, and resolving issues promptly
- Upsell additional parts and accessories to customers to meet their needs and increase sales
- Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Manage parts inventory levels to ensure availability and timely delivery of parts to customers
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure accurate ordering of required parts for vehicle repairs

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive industry is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Mechanical knowledge or interest in automotive parts is desirable
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
