Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential opportunities and risks in the supply chain.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and anticipate their procurement needs.
Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and standards.
- Occasional international travel may be required to meet with suppliers and attend industry events
- Identify and provide mitigating strategies where supply chain risks have been identified.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Procurement Operations:
- Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery.
- Ensure the timely and accurate acquisition of goods and services, avoiding disruptions to operations.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Monitor and manage the procurement budget, ensuring expenditures align with financial objectives.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
- Track and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
You should have:
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful procurement and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proactive and results-driven.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
It would be great if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience of working in themed entertainment industry
- Experience of working in an industry where annual cost-savings via supply chain engagement is the norm (such as Tier 1 automotive or aerospace suppliers).
