We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Officer to join our HR team to provide a proactive and engaging service, to support our employees to succeed in their careers. You will be the first port-of-call for many of our employees at all levels who are looking for information about their training, and so candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be keen to learn the industry and gain a good understanding of the tickets and competencies required in our world, with the ability to research and identify appropriate new courses in liaison with key internal stakeholders.
You will be required to capture, record and monitor all learning/training across the business, providing regular metrics and updates. You’ll therefore need strong IT skills, and ideally experience using an HRIS.
Our L&D Officer will maintain and develop a training directory and competency matrix across the organisation and of our sub-contractors. It is essential for your success therefore that you are highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
In addition to coordinating a range of face-to-face and online courses that are in line with role requirements and professional development needs, you will also coordinate COOMBES’s Apprenticeship processes and organise medical and Drug & Alcohol testing in line with Sentinel Scheme requirements.
Liaising with external trainers, you’ll ensure learning is set up for success by ensuring venues, facilities, equipment, etc are available and appropriate. You’ll also equip our employees with the pre-course information and learning they may require, including coordinating study or revision sessions and identifying any learning needs.
As well as sharing the ethos and values of our Company, candidates should have the following:
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, to be worked Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with 1hr unpaid break each day.
