Job description

Join us as a Tax Technical Specialist

  • Take on a challenging role, where you’ll be managing and monitoring tax reporting transactions and producing UK Tax Reports.
  • You'll undertake US Tax Reporting to the IRS
  • We’ll look to you to respond directly to client and colleague queries, providing technical support within your specialist area of expertise
  • In return, you’ll gain great exposure for you and your work
  • We are looking to pay a salary of between £39,000 - £47,000

What you'll do

As a Tax Technical Specialist, you’ll be reviewing corporate transactions for high net worth clients to meet specific tax reporting requirements. We’ll look to you to monitor and analyse tax legislation and make adjustments to tax reporting transactions to obtain tax compliant reports.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll be producing accurate client tax reports, ensuring our clients meet their tax filing obligations and that we fulfil our regulatory reporting requirements to HMRC.

Other key aspects of your role will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external third parties
  • Responding to clients, frontline and other third party enquires
  • Proactively providing coaching and training to colleagues across your team and the wider operational teams

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you’ll need professional tax qualifications, ideally ATT and CTA, or you’ll have equivalent experience.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • A background in private client tax or investment tax reporting
  • A knowledge of US Tax Reporting for 1042-S and 1099
  • Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills
  • An ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions, and challenge in a constructive way
  • High levels of numeracy with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to coach and develop others
