We have an opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team, working at our site in Tankersley on a full-time (37.5 hours) rotating 6am–2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday.
The Role
Reporting to the Lead Maintenance Engineer, the purpose of this role is to support and improve the production process by ensuring the continuous running of all plant, equipment and machinery using computerised systems, to oversee routine maintenance and complete repairs to ensure efficiency, development, and progress of manufacturing plant.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding to equipment breakdowns both Electrical and Mechanical, diagnosing faults and monitoring performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out.
Dealing with emergencies, unplanned work, and repairs.
Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with relevant legislation.
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance.
Fitting new parts or making modifications to existing to ensure equipment is working correctly.
Specifying new components for existing equipment from alternative suppliers.
Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
Replacing and commissioning machines when prescribed period of usage is complete.
Working in co-operation with production to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
Provide technical solutions to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
Contribute to the production of the highest quality products, good customer service and continuous improvements.
Liaising with other departments, customers and engineering and production colleagues.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Maintenance of Facilities as and when required including installations.
Support site compliance by ensuring equipment and plant is well maintained to high standards.
Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure machine/site maintenance is planned and efficiently managed.
Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance.

Education and Knowledge
Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) – Essential.
NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds ONC qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering.
Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
Relevant previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools, and techniques.
Experience working on SCM CNC’s, BeamSaws and Edgebanders – Advantageous.
Understanding of 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
IOSH – Working or Managing Safely – Advantageous.
