What you’ll be doing Developing and delivering an optimised programme to achieve all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets. Delivering successful technical solutions that provide optimal value for money on a capital and whole-life cost basis. Performance management of service providers is needed to ensure the out-performance of service levels and value for money. Steer a customer-focused culture that is unrelenting in its pursuit of excellence in service delivery to internal and external customers. Maintain a robust external stakeholder relationship to protect and enhance Thames Water’s reputation with external customers. Managing, guiding, and developing people in a culture of accountability and achievement. Guiding team's performance in safe and sustainable delivery of capital projects and their subsequent operation and maintenance. Providing assured compliance with statutory obligations and embedding clear indicators. Promoting sustainability and delivering carbon reduction targets. Delivering sustainable financial out-performance against approved budgets. Manage all contract matters commercially to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water. Establish and continuously promote a proactive health, safety & environment culture across Thames Water and our service providers. Hybrid—Maple Lodge/Hampton Coal Wharf: You will be required to be in the office as and when the business requires you to. 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. What you should bring to the role Demonstrable knowledge of the delivery of complex capital projects and delivery at a senior level. Be confident in managing big teams and the overall performance and behaviours of project management teams with a mix of contractors and permanent employees. Hold an understanding of contractual relationships and commercial contract systems like NEC /JCT. Be educated to a degree level with further professional/leadership qualifications or have outstanding role-specific background. Be confident in channelling all levels of internal and external stakeholders. Ability to take on management briefs in different functions and businesses and direct through taxing periods, focusing on improving business performance. Proven continuous improvement capability. Strive to achieve stretch targets with a desire to exceed expectations continually. Have a positive, objective, calm and analytical approach to challenges and risk decisions. Be adaptable to changes in environments and levels of support always required. What’s in it for you? Competitive salary between £87,100- £95,000 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
