Quality Engineer

Swift Placements are seeking and experienced Quality Engineer to join an established business within Knowsley area. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement within their manufacturing processes.

Key Duties

• Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements
• Ensure compliance to customer specifications
• Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances.
• Conduct process and product audits periodically.
• Generate process related documentation including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA’s, control plans etc.
• Support with production trials
• Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within business.
• Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes.
• Supervise and lead a team of 3.
  
  

Skills

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge and hands on experience of quality tools including PPAP, FMEA & APQP.
• Experience utilising IMDS.
• Understanding of lean techniques and methodologies.
• Ability and read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience operating CMM, Faro Arm and Polyworks.
