What you be doing?
As Market Manager, you will be in charge formaintaining an effective portfolio of C&I and MSW disposal customers forthe primary purpose of maximising company and plant specific financial,operational, and strategic goals in the marketplace with specific focus on[Kemsley and the South East market].
You will be accountable for managingthe delivery of identified strategic outcomes detailed in the Fuel Strategy,Business Plan, Budget, Value Creation Plan (VCP) implementation and sitespecific Market Plan for the South and for the regular review, development andupdating of these documents.
As Market Manager, you will be required to provideinput to facility and corporate personnel as it relates to advanceideas occurring within their area based on knowledge of the MSW andcommercial markets.
The Market Manager, South will also be responsiblefor the oversight and delivery of specific projects, such as [waste by rail,exports and imports, Biosolids treatment, difficult waste treatment or otherprojects that fall under the Business Development/Fuel remit].
What You Will Bring

Fuel Sourcing: The fundamental responsibility is to be an active “hunter” for waste to provide sufficient fuel for the facility to operate at optimum capacity at all times and at the best value to optimise plant profitability in line with budget, Business Plan and other corporate objectives, being the face of enfinium in that fuel market
Fuel Contract Management: to schedule and manage delivery volumes to the Facility in accordance with contract conditions and to maximise overall, waste revenues while minimising any potential cost impacts
Budget, Business Plan and Corporate Management and Support
- Participate in budgeting activities, as well as be knowledgeable of the impacts of their decisions on the local facility P&L. They will own the waste revenue aspect of the P&L and will be expected to provide budget and forecast guidance on those aspects concisely to facility management and controllership.
- Interact with other company counterparts on asset enhancement activities around existing/potential projects.
Market Intelligence and Market Review: to develop and maintain a high level of market knowledge to aid in both pricing and to develop sustainable short, medium and long-term Fuel Supply Plans to deliver company objectives as identified in the Business Plan, VCP implementation Plan and individual Market Plans
Qualifications And Experience
- Demonstrable and appropriate experience within the waste management industry with experience in fuel sourcing and sales beneficial
- Understanding and experience garnered in waste business with operations, logistics,
- A firm understanding of government, government procurement laws, and laws governing competition in the marketplace.
- A wide understanding of waste types (EWC codes) and their sources and origins
- Experience of waste exports and imports beneficial but not essential
- Experience of alternative non-hazardous waste markets beneficial but not essential
- Experience of waste characterisation testing beneficial but not essential
