Graduate Designer / Trainee Designer

With a strong commercial focus, this team focuses on; the design, development and launch of consumable products, research and development of new materials and technologies, and product marketing and own brand development.

Graduate Designer

We are now looking for a recent graduate to support our Design Team with a variety of creative tasks, including:

• Preparation, creation and review of samples to send to customers
• Support the ideation of new product and packaging proposals in response to a broad selection of design briefs
• Conduct market research on competitor products
• Benchmark our products against the competition
• Manage any photography or filming requirements
• Support the team with adhoc requirements related to design, artwork and creative projects
• Meeting strict customer and internal deadlines
• Ensuring all work was produced to a high standard

Designer - Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in product or industrial design or related field
• An excellent knowledge of Adobe CS Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, applied to multiple design led tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, whilst also taking own initiative
• A passion and enthusiasm for packaging design and development
• Whilst not essential, experience of working with blue chip retailers / brands would be a distinct advantage (not necessarily UK based).
