## Job Overview

We are seeking a Software Support Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in cloud software development. This is a paid position that offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the I.T. industry.

## Where Will I Do My Apprenticeship Course?

We are working with local providers to work out the best location for the course, but if you have already secured a place with one, we will work with that.

## What Hours Will I Do and How Much Will I Be Paid?

This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis to help work around yours and the businesses requirements. As it's a apprenticeship position you will be paid the National Minimum Wage initially but there is room for reviews as your experience grows.

## What Will You Be Doing (or Learning)?

- Assist with software troubleshooting and technical support.

- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.

- Provide help desk support for software-related queries.

- Gain practical experience in using tools like Visual Studio, Microsoft Office and Git.

- Learn about operating systems, server infrastructure, and computer hardware.

- Work on software remedy tasks under supervision (until fully confident).

- Assist with server administration tasks to improve your knowledge in that area.

- Opportunity for small graphic design tasks if this is of interest.

- Liaise with customers to support their website requirements.

## What Skills Do You Need? (We can help develop these with you)

- Basic knowledge of software troubleshooting.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Eagerness to learn and develop development and technical skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to work to your own initiative.

## What Should You Be Interested In?

- Cloud Software - using technologies such as PHP, jQuery, Ajax, Javascript, HTML, CSS and SQL.

- Computing / Networking - a keen interest in new and emerging technologies, such as taking things apart and fixing them.

- Web Design / Development - building something amazing for our customers using simple off-the-shelf solutions such as WordPress.

- Graphic Design - not for everyone, but if you have experience and/or an interest in this then that is a bonus.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a foundation in cloud software development and gain exposure to various I.T. processes.

## Armed Forces Covenant

We hold a Bronze Award for signing the Armed Forces Covenant and therefore offer additional paid leave for those serving in the Armed Forces or Cadet Forces in order to fulfil their operational and training duties.

## Training

You will receive on-the-job training in any areas you are not confident in and we can look at available courses to help you increase your knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 37.5 per week
