GSL Education South Yorkshire is seeking to employ a 1:1 Tutor to work for a client school based in Rotherham starting in the upcoming September term. This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, conscientious, and energetic candidate with a strong track record of raising attainment.
As a 1:1 Tutor, your responsibilities will include:
Working with students on a 1:1 basis or in small group sessions to ensure a personalised approach to learning.
Developing and implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational professionals and parents/guardians.
Regularly assessing student progress and adjusting teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
Providing constructive feedback on student progress.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to integrate tutoring efforts with classroom goals and curriculum.
Following the school’s behaviour management policy to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
Developing and implementing creative and effective teaching strategies.
Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborating with colleagues to enhance educational programmes and initiatives.
Participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to school-wide goals.
As a 1:1 Tutor, essential requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (not mandatory).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Enthusiasm and patience.
Ambition to work within the educational sector.
Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Flexibility to adapt to different environments.
Possession of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed immediately.
