Behavior Mentor

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education Chesterfield is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Behavior Mentor to work with our client schools in Chesterfield.

Job Summary

As a Behavior Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with behavioral challenges, helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement behavior management strategies.
• Work closely with teachers to foster a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
• Support students in developing social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure consistent support.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Behavior Mentor or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behavior effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
• Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management is preferred.
• Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
