Drama Teacher

Location: Sheffield S9

Pay Scale: £115- £250 per day

Contract Type: Full-Time

Required: September 2024

GSL Education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our client schools in Sheffield.

Job Summary

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging drama lessons, developing students' performance skills, and fostering a love for the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons to students.
• Develop students' skills in acting, scriptwriting, and stage production.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, and teamwork through innovative teaching methods.
• Organize and direct school productions, showcases, and drama clubs.
  
  

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Drama or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Drama at school level.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Drama.
• An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
