SEMH Teaching Assistant

• Location: Oldham
• Salary: £17000- £22000 per annum
• Start Date: September 2024
• Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
  
  

GSL Education are recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants for an outstanding Primary School in Oldham. This school currently has an Ofsted report rated ‘Good’. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS1/KS2. You will work closely with our teachers to support children with SEMH needs across the school. This role involves assisting students in their learning, providing targeted interventions, and ensuring that each child has access to the curriculum.

• Communicate clearly with Teachers and young individuals
• Create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
• Be understanding and caring
• Carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
• Remain calm during stressful situations
• Work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in a school setting is desirable
  
  

To work with GSL Education as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
