Your new company

Your new company is a Main Contractor and have taken over the construction of a £30m project in Bristol. They are recruiting a Commercial Manager to join the team in Bristol.

Your new role

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of a high-end apartment project in Bristol. You’ll oversee cost management, contract administration, and procurement activities. Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting
• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective cost control measures
• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance and support
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Procurement of circa 30 packages.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Surveyor role with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• High-end residential project delivery experience.
• High level contract knowledge.
• Strong procurement, budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills
• Excellent IT, analytical and negotiation skills
