As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a self-motivated Kitchen Porter to join our Retail team on a six-month fixed term contract, beginning on 22nd July 2024, until 12th January 2025.

Please note: given the requirements of this position, you will need to be fully flexible to work alternate weekends and be able to start at 5am, working thorough to 1.30pm over five days a week.

What you’ll be doing….

• Adhering to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, sinks, equipment and surfaces including floors.
• Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day.
• Maintaining food storage areas including freezers and refrigerators.
• Receiving and organising deliveries.
• Washing dirty pots, ovens, cutting boards and pans or loading the dishwasher ensuring the good functioning of the kitchen.
• Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly.
• Cleaning and maintaining preparation equipment like mixer, pots, ovens and food mixers.
• Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed.
• Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
• Keeping your area clean and organised, maintaining highest standards of cleanliness.
