We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our client's expanding team due to growth. This an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR Professional looking to advance their career.


In this role you'll provide professional advice and guidance to partners and managers on all people related matters.


Providing commercially focused people solutions that align to the business strategy and growth plans, company policies/procedures, employment legislation, company values and HR best practice. You will report to the regional HR Manager working in a collaborative and fast paced team.


Details:

  • Title: HR Advisor
  • Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 benefits including 25 Days A/L, Life Assurance, Income Protection, Pension & Private Medical (After probation)
  • Location: Reading - central - near Reading Train station
  • Contract: Permanent, Full-time


Based onsite in Reading 2 days per week, with a potential need to travel between offices when required (Thames Valley and West).


Responsibilities:

  • Employee relations - disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, restructures and employment termination.
  • Pragmatic application of employment legislation to avoid possible litigation
  • Application and interpretation of benefits, firm policies and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Support local cyclical processes including the performance review process, salary review and promotions processes.
  • Actively promote and implement new initiatives and changes either within the firm or the wider arena of HR
  • Interpret exit interview analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommendations
  • Support on embedding self-service in the business for transactional HR activities.
  • Collaboration with other HR colleagues in the generalist team and SMEs.
  • Involvement in HR projects and new initiatives; willing to undertake any other relevant activity as reasonably requested.


You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and partners to help business areas effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing delivery.


What we are looking for:

  • Ideally 2 years experience in an ER focused HR position
  • Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Genuine passion for providing outstanding HR Service
  • CIPD would be advantageous
  • Experience in either Financial or Professional services is desirable
  • Candidates from large, matrixed organisations
