BI Developer (Urgent) - Remote

Our client is a leading Financial Services organisation. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developers to join our financial services client on a fully remote, contract basis. The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that support decision-making and operational efficiency. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop data models, and create intuitive reports and dashboards using Power BI or other BI tools for a brand new platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Modelling & Warehousing
• Design and develop Data Warehouse access layer data models to support BI reporting and analysis requirements.
• Report and Dashboard Development
• Develop and maintain interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and iteratively refine the BI solution based on feedback.
• End-User Documentation
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to guide end-users in the effective use of the BI solutions, including detailed user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  
  

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven Experience in designing and developing BI solutions, particularly in the financial services industry.
• Technical Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or equivalent.
• Experience with Data Modelling and Data Warehouse design, including proficiency in SQL.
• Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Effective Communication Skills to collaborate with stakeholders, gather feedback, and translate complex technical information into business-friendly language.
• Attention to Detail in producing high-quality reports, dashboards, and documentation.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with financial services data and reporting.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for data warehousing and BI.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, DAX) for data transformation and analysis would be ideal but not essential.
  
  

Work Environment

• Fully remote, with flexible working hours.
• Collaborative work with cross-functional teams including DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
