The Role:
Inzpire are seeking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety practitioner into a new role of Safety Advisor. The Safety Advisor will be our safety specialist, providing advice and support on all aspects of health and safety to managers and employees within the business. The position will require a proactive individual who can develop, implement, and manage effective health and safety policies, procedures and programs to meet the needs of the business, while ensuring compliance with legal regulations, industry standards and best practice. The Safety Advisor must be personable and able to engage and collaborate with managers and employees to minimise safety risks, prevent accidents, enhance skills and promote a culture of safety engagement within our diverse and highly skilled workforce.

The Person:
We require an experienced and engaging practitioner with a safety background in a complimentary sector. To be our successful candidate you must be at ease collaborating alongside operational leaders and departments at all levels. You must have the ability to understand the operational needs of the business, explain the benefits of workplace safety and be a credible and persuasive voice for safe and healthy working environments. You will also be expected to take a leading role in our Health Wellbeing and Safety management group and our Employee Safety Network.
As our Safety Advisor, we will expect you to be technically knowledgeable and have completed a NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent. You should also have 3 years’ experience in a H&S Advisor role and be able to demonstrate a track record in implementing health and safety programmes. Ideally you will have completed accident investigator training.
Your place of work will be our Lincoln Office albeit there will be the opportunity for hybrid working. This will be a highly visible role that operates across the business, and you will be required to travel to Inzpire and customer sites within the UK approximately once per month, and possibly to conduct safety visits to overseas locations.
Due to the location of some sites away from public transport, you should have a UK Driving License.

Due to the nature of elements of the business, the successful applicant must be a UK National and will be required to successfully complete HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard pre-employment checks which will require identity, nationality, immigration, employment history and unspent criminal record checks.
