Due to winning more projects in the region and increased workload, we are now recruiting for a experienced Groundworker for a permanent role.
The role:
As the Groundworker, you will be accountable for carrying out the delivery of the construction works on assigned sites to the highest standards with regard to health & safety, quality/workmanship and environmental compliance. able to take accountability for the elements under their control, delegating and supporting as appropriate to successfully deliver across the project delivery lifecycle.
Main Duties
- Carryout works to DPC ready for handover
- Report to Director with regular meetings
- General health and safety of site
- Plan and order materials and plant (site supervisor to assist)
- Keep daily records of work carried out (site supervisor to assist)
- Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes
- Ensure all plant on site is suitable for the task
- Managing the day-to-day operation.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
- Quality checking at every stage of development
- Working to CDM regulations (site supervisor to assist)
- View drawings (site supervisor to assist)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experienced in all aspects of groundworks including site set up, setting out, excavations, concrete, drainage, services, brick/block work, machine operating above and below 10 tons, oversite, tarmac driveways, paving, slabbing, laying turf, kerbing and edging.
- Natural leader
- Ensure customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site
- SSSTS Qualification preferred
- CSCS card
- Time Served Groundworker
- First Aid
- Excellent communicational skills at all levels
- Transport required
- Full PPE
- Own tools needed
- UTR/CIS/PAYE
- Valid ID/Passport
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
