As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for an Animation Director to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect.
Responsibilities
Craft a clear, understandable vision and plan for our game animation style and goals; and empower your leads, seniors, and adjacent teams to rally around that vision.
Collaborate and partner with other directors to set the standards, drive fidelity and quality for all aspects of our games’ animation content
Lead a team of highly skilled animators to deliver hi-fidelity animation; defining and setting the animation standard along each stage.
Mentor, develop, and build the skills of your team while ensuring team cohesion and an atmosphere of creativity
Coordinate with technical animation and coding teams to improve and develop the animation pipeline, tool sets, and functionality
Partner with production and leadership to balance creative goals with production realities while delivering on player experience
Provide regular actionable creative and directional feedback to your team to maintain and push quality
Requirements
Extensive experience in game animation leadership at the director, lead, or principal level; having shipped at least one AAA title
Deep understanding and passion for animation and the ability to translate it into constructive and insightful feedback
In-depth understanding of gameplay and cinematic animation
Strong knowledge of Animation software, pipelines, and game development processes
Experience leading teams, people management, and development
Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills

Mocap direction experience
Combat design knowledge
RPG experience
Rigging and technical animation
