We are looking for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join a dynamic Theatre team in a leading private hospital in Great Missenden. As a Lead Theatre Practitioner, You'll Be Responsible For

  • Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
  • Supporting, coordinating, and managing care within the operating department.
  • Providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure quality patient care.
  • Leading patient care during specified periods or lists.
  • Ensuring patient safety checks are carried out according to policy.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Developing and enhancing the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Promoting best evidence-based practice within your scope.
  • Applying legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.
  • Achieving agreed objectives and demonstrating company behaviours at all times.

The Ideal Lead Theatre Practitioner Will Have

  • Registered Practitioner status with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • A post-registration qualification relevant to a functional specialty (e.g., Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant).
  • ILS certification.
  • Major Orthopaedic experience.
  • Previous experience in an acute healthcare environment.
  • Experience in supporting and leading a clinical team.
  • A mentorship qualification (desirable).
