Job Posting for NEC Project Manager at LONG O DONNELL
Long O Donnell are seeking an experienced NEC4 Project Manager/Site Supervisor to join their team with the objective to successfully oversee the construction phase for multiple transport projects, providing project management, site supervision and NEC contract management support, ensuring that all projects are completed within a timely fashion.
Duties include:
Attendance at monthly progress meetings (virtual).
Monthly Project Manager reports to the client on financial position, end-of-day-forecast, active early warnings, compensation events and programme.
Act as client representative in providing project management services for the construction of the projects. This includes attending client project and construction meetings (virtual and on site).
Undertake the role of NEC4 Project Manager including required cost consultancy.
Provide an NEC Project Supervisor/Clerk of Works service of a frequency necessary to ensure quality and compliance of the work during the construction phase.
Assist with the evaluation of tenders including cost consultancy input for evaluation of cost submissions and activity schedules.
Prepare and maintain project programmes and outline project execution plans.
Report on the performance of appointed contractors.
Prepare and maintain the project risk register, holding risk workshops with relevant project team members as necessary.
Manage the process of change control, ensuring any post-tender variations proposed are robustly considered, fairly valued, approved by the client and properly instructed.
Liaise with project designers relating to any scheme amendments which may be required as the build period commences. Attend design meetings where required.
Manage the process of project completion/handover, testing and commissioning, defects identification and rectification, discharge of any outstanding planning conditions and approval/issue of the project health and safety file.
Attend meetings with the contractor as often as necessary to fulfil the role, in line with the requirements set out against each of the projects.
