Nurture Assistant / Emotional Support Assistant

My client is seeking a dedicated Nurture Assistant to join their team, working to support the emotional and social development of pupils through tailored interventions and therapeutic activities. This role is essential in creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and succeed academically.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting in the design, planning, and delivery of evidence-based interventions
• Utilizing assessment tools like SNAP Behaviour to identify student needs
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Rainbow Room
• Advising and reporting to class teachers and other staff on student progress
• Providing care and support for students' emotional well-being
• Leading and participating in various therapeutic group sessions
  
  

About You

• Be able to do the job as described
• Strong communication skills with sensitivity and confidentiality
• Ability to relate well to children and adults
• Experience in working with vulnerable children is desirable
• Knowledge of using assessment tools like SNAP Behaviour
• Ability to plan and deliver emotional well-being interventions
