Masterclass Education are working with a lovely all through SEN school in the Billingshurst area who provide a safe and happy environment for the children to thrive in their education and drive them to succeed.

The school is based in beautiful surroundings where students are encouraged to study and get involved in many outdoor and indoor activities, there are also vast amounts of equipment and resources. The staffing group are a talented forward-thinking body who enjoy the additional CPD, and opportunities provided for them.

The head would like to recruit a SEN support worker to work with secondary students with cerebral palsy. You will need to have the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the students. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

The role starts as soon as possible, ideally before the school breaks up for the summer holidays.

Job role:

• To support the students across all areas of their development
• Support and encourage positive behaviour management
• Work with an individual (1-1) and small groups to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy
• To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
• To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
• To be able to provide personal care if needed
