CAD Technician

Our client, a prominent organisation in the Highways sector, is currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician for a contract position. This role is key to the design team, primarily focusing on the development of 2D schematic drawings for highway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing 2D AutoCAD designs for highway projects
• Creating supporting design plans such as contour plans, cut & fill plans, setting out information, cross sections, etc.
• Engaging in feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design work
• Delivering 2D design information as required
  
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other Autodesk software
• Experience in highway design
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to undertake design tasks with minimal supervision
• Effective team interaction and collaboration skills
  
  
  

This contract role provides a competitive hourly rate and operates inside IR35. The position is hybrid working (at least 3 days in office is required). Ideal candidates will have professional experience as a CAD Technician within an engineering consultancy environment.
