Our client is a leading player in the chemical sector, with a track record for innovation. The company prides itself on producing high-quality products and has a strong focus on sustainable practices. The Manchester facility will be the home site, however, the business has locations across Europe.

Job Description

As the Procurement Manager you will,

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support stakeholders across a multi-site operation
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to minimise risk, introduce secondary sources (where required), and maintain continuity of supply
• Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain utilising both internal and supplier knowledge
• Work closely with other functions to optimise procurement processes, and ensure value delivery
• Report on procurement performance metrics to raise the profile of the function, and demonstrate the value of the team
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Manager should have:

• A track record of supporting a busy, European, multi-site manufacturing operation with raw materials (chemicals)
• Working knowing on the global chemical supply base
• Proven in the management and engagement of a team
• Able to build relationship across operations, supply chain, and commercial functions to ensure procurement is involved and adding value from concept to delivery
