Care Assistant

My Homecare currently has several full-time and part-time (weekends only) vacancies due to growth and expansion. As a Care Assistant, you will be a lifeline to many elderly and disabled individuals who are keen to continue living independently within their own homes with the support of a Care Assistant.

The Role:

• Provide personal care for Service Users, including assistance with dressing, showering/bathing, and toileting.
• Change and empty catheter bags and attach night bags.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Perform light domestic duties such as washing up, vacuuming, dusting ect.
• Prepare meals.
• Ensure clients' overall wellbeing on a daily basis.
• Assist with getting up and going to bed.
• Use lifting and moving equipment such as hoists and slide sheets.
• Provide companionship and accompaniment.
• Facilitate community access.

The Person:

• Empathetic and understanding personality.
• Ability to thrive in a busy and caring environment.
• Reliable transport and a full valid driving license.
• Experience in care is not essential as full training will be provided.
• Ability to meet timeframes and work to deadlines is essential.
