Retail Team Member

With your love of working with people and desire to provide a great service, you’ll welcome our visitors to our shops answering any questions they have. At Charlecote Park we have two shops. The Servants Hall Shop stocks the souvenir, food, book, children's, fashion and home ranges. The Avenue Plants Shop stocks our garden and outdoor lifestyle ranges and plants. Our team members work in both shops regularly alongside our dedicated volunteers.

Salary: £11.50 per hour.

Contract/duration: Permanent

Hours/working pattern/hours: This is an annualised contract, which means the bank of hours will be worked across 12 months, with pay split evenly between each month. Most weeks will be 2-3 days of work, but at peak times, this could be up to 5 days per week and quiet times could be fewer. The day runs from 10:15am - 4:30/5pm (winter/summer opening hours). Weekend and holiday working is expected as these are our busiest days. Rotas are set with at least a months notice.

What you'll be doing:As Retail Team Member you’ll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised. We have a well stocked plant offer so so plant care and watering is also part of our role come rain or shine! This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and an interest in learning about retail.
