JOB TITLE: Support Officer

LOCATION: Horncastle

SALARY: £23,151 per annum

Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd (PSPS) are looking for enthusiastic and committed, ambitious people to join our successful Revenues and Benefits team on a permanent basis.

We are responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates and other debts, and for the processing of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support for our three client Councils.

As part of our team, you will work as a Support Officer in the Business Rates Team, with the opportunity for ongoing development across other parts of the service

You do not need direct experience for this role as full training will be provided. However, if you do have experience, we also want to hear from you!

We’re looking for people who:

  • Can interpret information and data, and are confident in making decisions
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are able to work quickly and accurately
  • Get satisfaction from problem solving
  • Have an eye for detail, specifically around data input.
  • Have strong ICT Skills.
  • Are good with numbers
  • Can deal sensitively with customers who may be vulnerable and/or emotional, and situations that may be challenging.
  • Are exceptionally well-organised, dependable, and flexible.
  • Can work alone, or as part of a team

As a successful candidate:

  • You would play a key role within our service helping to deliver critical services to our local communities.
  • You would help to create positive relationships with customers, communities and colleagues using your skills to resolve problems and take ownership of enquiries.
  • Will be responsible for a caseload, including accurate data input and processing of information, dealing with customers and ensuring all cases are dealt with to conclusion in accordance with relevant statutory regulations, policies and procedures.

PSPS (Public Sector Partnership Services) is a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) which is wholly owned by East Lindsey District Council, South Holland District Council and Boston Borough Council.
