Red Sky Personnel are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying undercoating and top coating to walls and woodwork, including doors, skirting, and architrave. The ideal Painter will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities for a Painter:
Surface Preparation:
Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, sanding, and cleaning.
Mask and protect furniture, floors, and other surfaces not to be painted.
Undercoating:
Apply undercoat to walls and woodwork ensuring an even and smooth finish.
Ensure the undercoat is applied to the appropriate thickness and coverage.
Top Coating:
Apply top coat of paint to walls and woodwork, including doors, skirting, and architrave.
Ensure a high-quality finish with smooth, even application and no drips or imperfections.
Woodwork Painting:
Paint woodwork, including doors, skirting boards, and architrave, ensuring a precise and clean finish.
Sand and prepare woodwork surfaces as necessary to achieve the best results.
Clean-Up:
Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.
Remove all masking tape and coverings, ensuring the work area is left clean and tidy.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished work to ensure it meets the required standards and rectify any defects.
Touch up any areas that require additional attention.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with clients in a professional manner to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
Provide advice on color selection, paint types, and finishes if required.
Qualifications and Skills required for a Painter:
Proven experience as a painter or similar role.
Proficient in painting techniques for both undercoating and top coating.
Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in painting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
Good physical condition and stamina.
Preferred Qualifications for a Painter:
Experience with a variety of painting tools and techniques.
